To assess the adaptability and high yield of the new wheat variety 'Pingmai 20', its yield, quality, disease resistance, and other characteristics were evaluated across different growing areas of Henan. The results over several years showed that 'Pingmai 20' increased production in most areas of Henan compared to 'Zhoumai 18'. Yield increases were consistently observed in Pingdingshan, Xuchang, Luyi, and Luoyang, with an average increase rate of more than 5%. These findings suggest that 'Pingmai 20' is suitable for cultivation and extension in these areas. Additionally, the quality, disease resistance, and cultivation characteristics were described in detail. This study provides a theoretical basis for the extensive cultivation of this variety. |
